The UK based series left has a new season and it’s going to be a lot different. Not only are the actors and actresses in the show back, but there’s a new cast and a new director. And the story line seems to have changed as well.

Sherry Coutu

Sherry Coutu is an angel investor and serial entrepreneur. She founded Interactive Investor International in 1994, but left the company after AMP plc bought the business in 2001. Today, Sherry serves as a non-executive member of Cambridge University, The Royal Society, and the London Stock Exchange. In addition, she invests in a number of companies, including Lovefilm, Zoopla, New Energy Finance, and Linkedin.

Sherry is also the co-founder of the Scale-Up Institute, which provides advice on raising finance. It’s backed by the Business Growth Fund, Google, and the London Stock Exchange. Sherry has invested in over 60 companies as an angel investor.

Alex Depledge

Alex Depledge has been a trailblazer in the UK tech scene. His startup has recently merged with Rocket Internet’s Helpling. He is also a proponent of free and open markets throughout Europe and the U.S. Aside from the obvious, he has also been a vocal advocate for parental rights in the workplace.

Sajid Javid

If you’re interested in the UK tech scene, you’ll be familiar with Sajid Javid. He’s one of the most important voices in the UK tech community. A Conservative Party politician, he entered Parliament in 2010, and is tipped to be a possible candidate to become the next leader of the Conservatives. Known for being positive about the ride-hailing app Uber, he recently spoke out against a heavy-handed crackdown on the company.

The tech industry has been abuzz with rumors that Javid might be a potential candidate to become leader of the Conservatives, after David Cameron leaves the party. While he hasn’t officially announced his candidacy yet, he’s been giving the impression that he’d be a good fit, especially for the post of Home Secretary.

Jo Bertram

Jo Bertram is the head of Uber’s UK operations. She joined Uber in 2013 and manages its expansion across the UK, which includes the launch of UberPOOL. Previously, Bertram worked as a management consultant at Accenture and McKinsey. Amid rumours of tax avoidance, she has faced scrutiny.

In March 2016, she was appointed as the board member of Sharing Economy UK, which represents the sharing economy community in the UK. As part of her role, she has launched a tech college 42 that will train 60 graduates a year. The group has also submitted ideas to the Government for its digital strategy whotimes.

Shami Chakrabarti

Shami Chakrabarti is an Honorary Professor of Law at the University of Manchester. He was previously the Chancellor of the University of Essex and the Director of Liberty, an organisation that aims to promote human rights in the United Kingdom. Before this position, he was a lawyer at the Home Office. The human rights advocate has also been a member of the Leveson Inquiry and sworn into the Privy Council.
